Is this you?
You’re a self-motivated editor with strong communication skills. You can translate what a client wants from concept into reality. You can spot a grammar, punctuation and (with training) formatting mistake from a mile away. You can take other people's writing and finesse it into the perfect piece of copy, all while writing catchy headlines and informative photo captions. You’re a whiz at online research and a sleuth at tracking down story sources. You are comfortable managing multiple projects at a time and working with writers, designers, photographers and fellow editors. You’re a good mix of creativity and professionalism. You pay close attention to detail, but you can also see the big picture. Bonus points if you know the difference between dairy cows and beef cattle.
If that sounds like you, then we want to talk with you about an assistant editor position with us, managing content related to food, farming, agribusiness, recipes and rural living.
