Ray grew up in a town of 1,000 where he worked on his uncle’s farm doing everything from baling hay to feeding hogs. These days, our gregarious president can usually be found on his bike, motorcycle, hiking mountains and canyons, or regaling those around him with stories of his numerous escapades. If you’re exhausted just reading this, so are we.
Head #girlboss of the team, Kim can school you on everything from how to market to your target audience to how to place a class of market steers. After more than 12 years as an ag communicator, there’s no job too big for this FFA and 4-H alumna, but her sweet spot is in crafting creative ways to pique consumers' interest in agriculture.
Raised on a farm in rural Tennessee, Jessy moved away from her small-town roots only to find herself editing rural lifestyle magazines. Now leading our content team, she realizes that agriculture is where her heart has been all along – as long as she can still live within a short cab ride from Nashville’s music and foodie scene.
Born and raised in the Nashville area, Jordan’s sales skills were impressive enough in high school to convince Taylor Swift to be his date to the Senior Snowball dance. He’s turned those attributes into a career managing our sales team and coming up with innovative pitches. This creature of habit eats macaroni and cheese at least once a day.
A rare Nashville native, Allison heads up our web team in managing digital projects big and small, from mobile apps to video production to site launches. This nature lover and true crime podcast enthusiast also adores her four cats and abhors foolishness, so don’t start with her. She claims to play the cello, but we’ll believe it when we see it.
Between wrangling her two young daughters and our designers, editors and photographers, Laura has her hands full. She ensures our creative work is top-notch, from the perfect plate for a food shoot to the perfect font on the cover. And as a Louisiana native, she can peel crawfish faster than you can.
Originally from western New York by way of Wilmington, N.C., Jeff is not only a talented photojournalist, but also an expert beekeeper. His honey and beeswax products are sold in stores throughout Tennessee. Jeff shoots our recipe photos and can often be found convincing our food styling team to cook more bacon.
Molly keeps us all in line, managing project schedules, workloads and deadlines. She enjoys cooking, paddle boarding, Pure Barre, being trained by her crazy dog and days when her hair behaves (it’s full of secrets). She dislikes selfies but luckily didn't work here the year we all got selfie sticks for Christmas.
Herb grew up on a farm just outside of Nashville and knows firsthand about losing farmland to urban developments, which fuels his passion for promoting the importance of agriculture. In his spare time, he enjoys playing with his grandson, hiking with his German Shepherd and working in the yard.
Steve has rambled all over the country meeting exciting people and creating valuable business connections. On the road, he's visited many of our nation’s natural wonders, including coming face-to-face with a bear in Montana (a story that requires more space than we have here). Back at home, he enjoys barbecuing with his family, kayaking and cycling of any kind.
Hailing from both rural Georgia and West Virginia, Kim has lived in downtown Nashville for more than a decade. The best possible balance of city and country, she can charm anyone from honky-tonkin’ tourists to fifth-generation farmers. Her bucket list has one item: seeing a humpback whale.
Amy is such a design whiz that we’re pretty sure she's using magic. Her creative touch can be seen in almost every one of our agribusiness magazines at any given time. In her spare time, she enjoys travel and yoga but advises against attempting downward-facing dog in your airplane seat.
Managing our ad production is no easy task, but Katie makes it look that way by keeping the process running smoothly and our valued advertisers happy. A city girl at heart, she has fond memories of hunting for arrowheads on her father’s Kentucky farm. Today, she still hunts for antiques – or the newest Nashville hot spot.
Our most stylish and grammatically correct member of the team, Rachel will help you with you’re mismatched outfit and point out that it really should be “your.” Ever the multitasker, she can go from curating digital content to editing for print in a matter of minutes. She enjoys dachshunds, vests and coloring.
From the mean streets of New York City, Michael has adapted amazingly to regularly stepping in cow pies or suiting up to enter a chicken barn. He has a gift for making farm families feel at ease, even when faced with time constraints, bad weather or uncooperative children – or all three at once.
Don’t let Robin’s sweet Southern accent distract you from her keen business acumen. She’s been with the company for 20-something years. (Of course, that means she started working here at age 9.) A city girl, she’s grateful her job has taught her the importance, value and impact of agriculture, which she never learned in school.
Imagine if Shaggy from Scooby Doo was focused enough to develop user-friendly websites and craft code for hours. Richard grew up a cowboy wannabe, hanging out on ranches in Texas and Arkansas. Now he herds the content team into approving wireframes in a timely manner (we’ll get to it, Richard!).
M.A. is the mastermind behind managing digital advertising campaigns, inventory, network revenue and performance. Our resident Star Wars fanatic, she's also fond of good Cabernet, wolves, pretty much all cheese, and lots and lots of coffee. All of these at once is basically her dream.
As a former Maryland Lamb & Wool Princess and Auburn University Miss College of Agriculture, Hannah knows ag and has the plastic tiaras to prove it, bringing farm expertise and a sense of humor to the table. She's an avid fan of the Rock, her dog TBone, velour leisure pants and slightly burnt popcorn. Yes, she's the one who keeps burning the popcorn.
Drew has the gift of gab and a real knack for making sausage balls. He grew up in rural Alabama and is a former 4-H and FFA member. Drew loves making connections with agribusiness industry leaders and promoting our work. When asked for a list of his favorite things, he included his “amazing” fiancé, Leah. Suck up.
“Support” is no exaggeration when it comes to Courtney – our sales reps in the field rely on her as the point person back in the office, where she handles everything from media kits to mailings. Outside of work, she likes exploring Nashville, wine “tasting” and seeing movies that don’t star Nicolas Cage.
A native of BAH-ston (with the accent and driving-in-snow skills to prove it), Ashley lends her marketing talents to the Farm Flavor Media team by optimizing content for the web, social media and press releases. She likes wakeboarding and making music, and dislikes cats she can’t trust.
The newest addition to our creative team, Emmylou offers graphic design expertise and a sunny attitude. A fan of reading, sharks and candles, she loves her cat and playing the ukulele. In her new role, she's enjoyed expanding her existing agricultural knowledge, gleaned from exploring her grandparents' cattle farm.
Cara is an accomplished cook and has fully embraced Farm Flavor Media’s “live to eat, not eat to live” mindset. She excels at coming up with punchy headlines but fails at riding a bike without training wheels. Oddly enough, she is not the only content team member who struggles with this mode of transportation, as Hannah Hill is also unable to ride a bike.
